Yes, that is possible. Replace the described colors in the pattern with the colors you want to use and then you can simply follow the pattern.

If you want to easily crochet a C2C pattern, you can start by crocheting a number of squares from the large animal square blanket. The squares 6 (the pig), 9 (the rubber duck), and 23 (the red tomcat) do not have many color changes and are also not very large.

All C2C are made and described with/for different thickness acrylic yarn. You can certainly use other types of yarn, but the result may end up being larger or smaller than what is stated in the pattern.

With a color change, you pull the yarn you just crocheted to the front of your crochet work. You pick up the new color (yarn) from the back of your crochet work.
