After a few busy weeks, it's time for another blog post. When I'm really busy, I find it really helpful to clear my head after a long day by crocheting an easy pattern. So, I was once again looking for a diagram that's easy to crochet and doesn't require too much thought. But, also very important, it always has to be something I genuinely enjoy making, something that could be beautiful for myself or as a gift.
I already had the crochet yarn I wanted to work with, having bought it at Action a few weeks ago. It's called "cotton soft cake yarn," in this case with various shades of pink. I've used this yarn in other colors before, and I find it to be a wonderful yarn to crochet with.
After trying out a few different crochet charts, I felt confident enough with the chart above to make a beautiful scarf. I personally prefer a slightly longer scarf so I can wrap it around comfortably. With this pattern, you can make the scarf as long and as wide as you like, and with 650 m per square, you can crochet quite a bit. I used a 3.5mm crochet hook to crochet this scarf. The end result of this chart is a fantastic scarf for just over €5.50.
I hope you enjoy crocheting this beautiful scarf as much as I did. The result is truly worth it. Will you share your finished creation with me? I'd love that! You can share your creation(s) on Instagram with the hashtag #haakpatroon.com or tag me.
Love,
Myra
